Front page References Hair salon & barber shop Teos, Lahti Hair salon & barber shop Teos, Lahti Interior design by Luovatoimisto Mila / Kaisa Lammi, Lahti, 2020 Taking a hair-salon to a new dimension by awakening the buildings ambiance and architecture The ‘Teos’ -chain of hair-salons and barber shops was expanding to Lahti, when Teija, he entrepreneur, requested Kaisa Lammi from the interior design office ‘Luovatoimisto Mila’ to create a interior design plan. Kaisa had previously done a very successful plan for the Jyväskylä salon. The Lahti premises had also originally functioned as a hair-salon, but now there was a desire to take the space to a new level by utilizing the buildings unique ambiance and architecture. PARTURI KAMPAAMO TEOS LAHTI / BAZAR MINI SEINÄVALAISIN New surface materials were chosen for part of Teos Lahti. A new space plan for the entire premises was shaped. Suitable furniture, interior articles, textiles and luminaires were selected. Pendants and wall-lamps from the timeless Bazar -series were chosen for lighting. PARTURI KAMPAAMO TEOS LAHTI MASON RIIPPUVALAISIMET Parturi-kampaamo Teos Lahti – Bazar ikkunavalaisin The customer requested that the interior design should fit the style of Teos in general and respect the atmosphere of the building, while the end-result should not be a copy of the Jyväskylä Teos. The checkered floor that already existed in part of the premises was to be preserved and so the interior was compiled around it. Another wish was to have a electric fireplace in the waiting-area to create a homely feeling for waiting customers. For general lighting in the reception, Sessak Mason hanging lamps were chosen.
